There are no accounts here, so there is almost nothing to collect. This page says exactly what we hold and why.
What we ask for
One email address per listing, so that the person who published it can be reached and can edit it later. Nothing else: no name, no password, no advertising or analytics cookies.
Your location
Coordinates you allow stay in your browser: they sort the list and draw the map, and never reach our servers. What you type in the place search is forwarded to OpenStreetMap Nominatim through our own endpoint, so that service never sees your address.
IP addresses
The IP of a request is used for rate limiting, the only lever we have against abuse without accounts. It lives in memory for a few minutes and is never written to a listing.
Saved cafes
Cafes you save with the heart stay in your browser storage and nowhere else.
Payments
Checkout runs on Stripe, which keeps the customer record for the payment. We keep the amount, the time and the cafe it applied to.
